Academic Prerequisites
► Minimum 62.5% marks in annual system or 2.5 CGPA out of 4.0 in all Subjects from HEC recognized university as a regular student.
► No 3rd Division or Grade D and only one 2nd Division/ Grade C throughout the academic career i.e Matric to MA/ MSc/ BS.
► Candidates graduated from HEC recognized universities or foreign universities recognized by HEC are eligible.
► Candidates must have attained the entire education (Matric till MA/MSc/BS) as a regular student.
► MPhil/ MS/ PhD will be given preference.
► Candidates only graduated from HEC/ PEC recognized universities.
► Candidates who have not completed 4 years degree in given discipline are ineligible.
► Candidate to verify their degrees from HEC/ PEC before entrance test.
► Once rejected by Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) for Pakistan Military Academy/ equivalent courses & once rejected for post Graduate entry 1 x chance (validity limited for one year and for two consecutive courses of that services).
► Candidates acquired qualfication as private candidates are not eligible.
► Candidates acquired masters degree in Psychology as private/ distant learning candidate are not eligible .

Registration and Preliminary Selection Procedure

Registration And Preliminary Selection Process
Candidates can register either through Internet or by visiting Army Selection and Recruitment Centres (AS&RCs). Following procedure will be adopted:-
Registration through Internet: A candidate can register on website www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk. Date and time of test shall be intimated on internet for which the individual should have an e-mail account. Candidates will report on exact date and time given for preliminary test on computerized roll no slip. Date once given will not be changed. Candidates MUST attain working knowledge of computer as registration and tests will be conducted on computers.
Registration at Army Selection and Recruitment Centres: Candidates may report at nearest Army Selection and Recruitment Centres for registration/ allotment of roll number along with necessary documents (mentioned in advertisement) and the prospectus fee for completion of registration formalities. Candidates will bring these on the day of test as well.
Written/Intelligence tests will be based on multiple choice questions from English, Maths, Pak Studies, Islamiat and General Knowledge. The candidates declared successful in written/intelligence tests will undergo physical/ medical tests and interviews at Army Selection and Recruitment Centres (AS&RCS).
Preliminary Selection: Module based selection for Inter Services Selection Board (ISSB) will be carried out, for which a module is being develop at Personnel Administration Directorate. Following will be including in the initial test with weightages assigned in the module:-
► Written/ Intelligence
► Medical Examination
► Physical Test
► Interview by preliminary selection board headed by Selection and recruitment Officer (S&RO)
Written/Intelligence Tests: Written/Intelligence tests will be based on multiple choice questions from English, Maths, Pak Studies, Islamiat and General Knowledge. The candidates declared successful in written/intelligence tests will undergo physical/ medical tests and interviews at Army Selection and Recruitment Centres (AS&RCs).
Physical Tests: Following criteria has been set for all candidates:-
► 1.6 Km Run – 9 minutes (3 Marks)
► Push Ups – 10 repetitions in 2 minutes (2 Marks)
► Crunches – 10 repetitions in 2 minutes (2 Marks)
► Pull Ups – 2 repetitions in 2 minutes (2 Marks)
Passing all events as per above table are mandatory for each candidate. A candidate failing in any 1 x event will be considered as Physical Test (PT) failure and will not be given Inter Services Selection Board (ISSB) form.

Further Selection Process
Detailed medical examination of candidates recommended by Inter Service Selection Board will be carried out at nearby Combined Military Hospitals. Candidates who are recommended by Inter Service Selection Board will be called for interview by General Headquarters Selection Board. No Travelling Allowance/ Daily Allowance is admissible. Final selection will be made at General Headquarters (GHQ) on the basis of candidates, overall performance.

Candidates will deposit following documents with Army Selection and Recruitment Centres (AS&RCs):
► Original certificates/documents/detailed marks sheets along with two attested photocopies of each educational certificate/degree.
► Candidates serving in Government’s institutions/departments will render No Objection Certificate (NOC) of the concerned establishment.
► Attested photocopy of domicile.
► Photocopies of computerized National Identity Card alongwith verification slip obtained by NADRA.
► 6 x Coloured photos duly attested (1 x front & 5 x back).
► Candidates must bring their degrees duly verified by HEC/PEC

Additional Information

BOND. Finally selected candidates will be required to sign a bond to serve the Army for a minimum period of 7 years. The applicability of bond will commence on successful completion of basic military training at Pakistan Military Academy Kakul.

Twice rejected by Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) for Post Graduate Entry.
Twice rejected by Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) for Intermediate/ Graduate (Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Long Course/ Graduate/ Equivalent) and once rejected by Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) or General Headquarters (GHQ)/ Naval Headquartesr (NHQ)/ Air Headquarters (AHQ) based selection boards.
Once rejected by Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) for Intermediate/ Graduate (Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Long Course/ Graduate/ Equivalent) and twice rejected by Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) or General Headquarters (GHQ)/ Naval Headquarters (NHQ)/ Air Headquarters (AHQ) based selection boards.
Candidates tested within four months (120 days) gap of pervious appearance in IISB except waiver granted by the competent authority. However, bar of 120 days will not be applicable to candidates appearing in General Headquarters (GHQ)/ Naval Headquarters (NHQ)/ Air Headquarters (AHQ) selection boards.
Candidates dismissed/ removed/ debarred from Govt Services including Armed Force.
Convicted in a Court of Law for any heinous offense (to be ascertained by the competent military authority).
Permanently declared UNFIT by Appeal Medical Board (PUF by AMB).
Declared medically unfit due to Hepatitis B/C (AMB cannot be requested).
Withdrawn from any bonded Armed Forces college/ institution on disciplinary grounds.
Withdrawn/ discharged/ resigned or purchase of commission from any Armed Force Officers Academy/ Training Institution on any ground.
Tempering of academic certificates/ foregery/ concealment to get undue advantage will render to applicant permanently ineligible for all types of commission in Armed Force.
Candidates who have not completed 4 years Engineering Degree in given disciplines irrespective of MSc/ MCS.
