• The eligible applicants must possess a Law degree recognized by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, be it a local or foreign degree, including LLB, J.D, Bar-at-law must have completed the last law degree not more than 3 years ago withminimum 3.5 CGPA or upper Second Class Honors (2.1) in case of UK degree. The candidate should be a citizen of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

ELIGIBILITY:-

1. He/She possesses a degree in law from a recognized university entitling him/her to practice the profession of law;
2. An Advocate who has actively practiced the profession of law for not less than two years after having been enrolled as an Advocate, preceding the date of advertisement and during this period, he/she had not engaged himself/herself in any other whole time service, business or occupation for gain, as the case may be.
3. Not less than twenty-one years and not more than thirty-five years of age. Age shall be reckoned as on the last date fixed for submission of online application for appointment.
   QUOTA:-
4. Merit fifty percent and Fifty percent appointments through initial recruitment shall be made from the eligible candidates having domicile of Islamabad Capital Territory; and
5. Ten percent seats for women and two percent seats for Persons with Disabilities shall be reserved across the board to the posts in the Service by direct recruitment subject to suitability.
   CONDITIONS:-
6. There shall be a written examination of law and other subjects as laid down in Appendix-B & C of the Islamabad Judicial Service Rules, 2011. Except General knowledge paper, each other paper of written examination shall be divided into two parts i.e. Objective 25% and subjective 75%. General Knowledge paper will be 100% objective/ MCQs based.
7. Candidates are required to secure at least 40% marks in each individual written paper and 375 in aggregate to be eligible before an interview/viva voce of 100 marks with qualifying marks of at least 30% to be declared successful. Success in the interview/viva voce is mandatory.
   NOTE:-
8. Islamabad Judicial Service Rules, 2011 along with relevant instructions, guidelines and mandatory terms & conditions are available on the main page of Job Portal of this Court i.e. jobs.ihc.gov.pk. In order to have more clarification of the relevant instruction, candidates are required to read the same before applying for the job.
9. No person shall be eligible for appointment to the Service unless he/she is in good mental and physical state and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of his duties as a member of the Service.
10. A non-refundable examination fee of Rs.5000/- (Rupees five thousand only) shall be deposited by the candidate through Bank Challan generated via IHC Job Portal in any branch of National Bank of Pakistan in Account No. 4243787815 (IBAN No. PK24NBPA2164004243787815) title “Human Resource of Islamabad High Court”.
